I-ADOPT Framework for FAIR variables and metadata description, Event 1

March 17, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
I-Adopt framework

What is inside your RI’s data? Hopefully, you know - but how easy is it for your end-users to find out? To make good scientific use of data, it is necessary to be absolutely clear on what has been measured or calculated. Just labeling table columns with “SWC_1_1” or “P_sal” is in many cases not precise enough, even for people familiar with your subdomain. The RDA I-ADOPT framework offers a way to compile clear and unambiguous definitions of variables in…

Workshop on supporting city scale GHG inventories opportunities and challenges

May 26, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Developing robust city-scale greenhouse gas emissions inventories is key to understanding the challenges to be dealt with and to track progress of GHGs over time. A combination of different data sets can help enhance the robustness of the inventories, such as using bottom-up data, combining this with disaggregated data from national inventories (to address data gaps). However, the use of satellite data and atmosphere models at increasing spatial resolution is also exciting. The focus of this workshop is on assessing…
