AQUACOSM-plus is organising the 3rd International Symposium on Aquatic Mesocosm-Based Research, to be held in Antalya, Türkiye from November 7 to 10, 2023. The theme is “Collaborative Science for Tackling Global Grand Challenges” in different aquatic realms.

The organisers welcome contributions from researchers around the world using mesocosms to address scientific and societal grand challenges in all aquatic realms (including pond, lake, river, estuary, coast and open ocean). They welcome a broad range of contributions examining impacts across all scales, from local to landscape and regional! Submissions from Transnational Access (TA) users of the EU projects AQUACOSM and AQUACOSM-plus are particularly encouraged to contribute!

Additionally, for students and Early Career Scientists coming from underdeveloped and developing countries with limited financial resources, the organisers recognise the importance of providing travel support. They are offering a limited number of travel support opportunities exclusively for students. If you are a student or Early Career Scientist seeking travel support, please submit your abstracts and include a brief explanation detailing why you are requesting assistance. The travel support competition is a fantastic opportunity to ensure that talented and deserving students can be part of this symposium and contribute their unique perspectives to our discussions.
