4th GEO Data Technology Workshop: The ERA of Big EO Data

Join the Group on Earth Observations international data community in Vienna, Austria from 23-25 April 2019 for the 4th GEO Data Technology Workshop. Previously known as the GEO Data Providers Workshop series, this annual event has expanded to include data providers, data users and technology experts to keep up with the fast data and technological evolution.
This year’s edition of the workshop will be focused on exploring how to best make available Earth observations-based knowledge for international policy frameworks, including the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction and the Paris Climate Agreement.
Connect with and learn from international experts on data management, sharing and governance, and have your voice heard in discussions on a range of internationally-relevant issues, including the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), data governance and policy challenges, satellite-based and in situ Earth observation coordination, knowledge sharing, Earth observation platforms and analytics and more. Who will be there?
The 3rd GEO Data Providers Workshop had record numbers of participants, with over 200 data providers and users from more than 130 organizations, 33 countries and 5 continents, representing all sectors.
This year we expect even greater participation, and will be making available a full list of speakers shortly.
