Earth observations and FAIR data in the spotlight at the International Hackathon event

Andreas Petzold and Werner Kutsch will be two keynote speakers at Hack the Arctic, a 48-hr online hackathon open to everyone interested in designing practical solutions from scientific data.

The event is co-organized by ENVRI Community, ICOS Head Office, and by INAR institute of the University of Helsinki, and they are bringing together a compilation of datasets and science mentors from their respective communities under one roof. From the ENVRI community, the data provider group includes ACTRIS, eLTER, ICOS, SeaDataNet, and SIOS.

While the ENVRI-FAIR coordinator Andreas Petzold will talk about the importance of FAIR environmental data to be able to face the ongoing climate crisis, the ICOS DG & Co-chair of BEERi Werner Kutsch will introduce the basics of the Earth observations to a diverse group of hackathon participants.

Tune in on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
